About Me

Hailie Duncan was born and raised in Idaho into a family that valued books. Her love of literature can be traced back to nightly bedtime stories from her mother and repeat readings of Put Me in the Zoo with her grandfather in his big blue chair.

After high school, she attended Idaho State University where she studied creative writing. Her first published work appeared in the 17th edition of the university’s literary magazine, Black Rock and Sage. She has continued publishing short stories through her indie publisher Grey Cell Books.

Though she keeps a tight social circle, her writing largely centers on the relationships between people, chance encounters, and how socialization shapes lives. She currently lives in Idaho with her husband, dog, and two cats, and works as a tiny human tamer.
